New Provider – Data Transfer Information

Kent and Medway Psychological Talking Therapies Service

The Talking Therapies you currently recieve from  Faversham Counselling Service (FCS ) will be transferring to Vita Health Group (VHG) working in partnership with We Are With You (WAWY) and IESO on 1st April 2024. This is due to a change in how Talking Therapies are commisioned by the NHS in the Kent & Medway area.Vita Health Group (VHG), We Are With You (WY) and IESO are all award-winning specialist providers, whose aim is to provide accessible, transparent, high-quality care, and engagement with the community is at our core.  Together we will make every effort to make the transfer of your treatment as seamless as possible, providing a continuation of your care with no break in service

When will this happen?

The new arrangements for provision of NHS Kent and Medway Talking Therapies Service will begin on 1st April 2024.

Who is providing the new service?

The new arrangement is a partnership between Vita Health Group, We are with You and IESO. All partners currently provide services within areas of Kent and Medway but will work as a partnership to provide all talking therapies to the region from April 2024 onwards.

What does this mean for you?

The only noticeable changes will be minor including  letterheads, literature, company website and community material as these will now display NHS Kent and Medway Talking Therapies coupled with the logos of the new providers.

Wherever possible, your care will be transferred to one of the above-mentioned providers and will continue to be delivered by the same therapist that you see now.

It may be necessary to rearrange your treatment sessions in the first few days following the transfer to allow for  a smooth hand over of the service, but your therapist will be in touch with you to confirm if this is necessary.

All providers within the new partnership will continue to provide NICE recommended treatments for anxiety and depression.

I would like to continue with treatment and be transferred.

For your In order for your treatment to continue and be transferred from your current talking therapies service to our new service providers, Faversham Counselling Services will transfer your records using a secure electronic transfer process.

I do not wish to be transferred, what do I do?

If you feel you do not want to transfer to the new providers, please let our Main Office at FCS know by 1st March 2024 and they will not transfer your records and you will be discharged from their service back to your GP.

What If I have missed this date?
